In 2008 redNelson Limited was pleased to announce it's move into developing applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The multi-touch graphical user interface and wireless access to the internet has presented a number of opportunities for organisations to further enhance the user experience of clients using their software.

Typically, desktop applications are not ported in their entirety to an iPhone or iPod Touch. Rather, an aspect or subset of the desktop functionality is either exposed or enhanced to take advantage of the iPhone/iPod touch screen and wireless connectivity. For this reason, the project life cycle is relatively short.

Another use for iPhones and iPod Touch is to develop custom interfaces to existing websites or data accessed via the world width web.
